Ursula Major Sofa

Ursula was the very first sofa in the Ted Boerner Collection circa 1993. Originally named  'Big Dipper' to convey scale and evoke familiarity, the name evolved over time into Ursa Major.  (Someone spelled it wrong and it came out Ursula.  It stuck and its been Ursula ever since.)  The stocky stance and wide arms bring to mind the classic couches and Cadillac convertibles of the 1940s and 50s.  Its two loose seats are generous and accommodating while the tight back and taller legs keep it tailored and current.

Handcrafted in California.
